Hi, I’m Saige and I love combining my passions for nature and journaling!
What is nature journaling?
Nature journaling is a way to observe and learn about the natural world around you in a way that resonates with you. It can involve drawing, painting, collaging, technical writing, and creative writing. There is no “right” way to nature journal. It’s whatever is most meaningful and impactful for you!
In my nature journaling class called “Art In Bloom,” I teach some basic skills on watercoloring, sketching, and provide ideas on how to nature journal. I also teach about California native plants and the importance of planting and protecting them. The class is for every level of experience in both nature admiration and art creation.
We do not focus heavily on skill, as the point of nature journaling is to not be perfect. However, I do provide some light skill education to help participants feel confident and inspired in journaling.
